I can't believe it's been more than a month since our last post! Time really slips away from us when we're in the middle of the busy wedding season. I apologize for our neglect to the blog.

There have been so many great weddings to blog about that I feel a little overwhelmed and I don't know where to start. I'll share a post from one of our own weddings.

June.......the "wedding" month.......so it's very fitting to start off the first day of June with a wedding. I got to know Katie and her mom throughout the planning process with a few meetings to go over and order invitations in the months leading up to the wedding. Katie and Lee were married at St. Pius X Catholic Church with a reception at the Ritz Charles.

Here is their Music Video. We had some AWESOME shots! The lobby of the church had gorgeous windows and we utilized the lobby for the majority of the pictures.

We had a great time working with a good friend Rich Miller of RichWeddings. He had some awesome shots of the day, but here are a few of my favorites. We're excited to go shoot another wedding with him TODAY!!

Jason Fritz of Pro-Sound Entertainment did an excellent job keeping the party going and the dance floor full the entire night.

Searching for your Wedding Professionals

While planning your wedding, it’s always a great idea to ask around for referrals. Most likely, you know someone that has recently planned a wedding and she or he will be more than willing to share experiences, good and bad, about her or his wedding. Always check out more than 1 photographer, videographer, DJ, etc. When you meet with perspective Professionals, I always tell people to go with your gut feeling. Some personalities mesh better together than others. You want to be surrounded by Wedding Professionals that you connect with and feel comfortable with. Most of your Wedding Professionals will only be able to do 1 event per day, so if you know that he/she is a good fit for you, be sure to book as soon as possible. I once talked to a bride who told me “My wedding planner is making me follow a list and said that I can’t hire a videographer yet.” Unfortunately for that bride, when she later contacted me because it was "time to hire the videographer," we had already booked her date and were not available. If you have the money, and you know that you want to hire a certain Professional, I would strongly advise you not to take the chance of waiting.
